Tryouts 2013-2014

Fond du Lac Phoenix Tryouts Dates for 2013-2014 Season

Dates have been set for tryouts: June 25th (U15-19), June 26th (Girls) and June 27th (Boys) with a make-up date set for July 1st. If you cannot make any of these dates please contact Bob Niederdorfer, Select Coordinator.

Please make every effort to come to the tryout for your age group, it will produce a better evaluation for you child. Make sure to review the dates/times below carefully.

All tryouts will be held at the Fond du Lac Soccer Complex. Players can check-in at the concession stand building when they arrive.

This will save you time and paperwork at tryouts.  Simply click the registration link below.  If you have registered as a player (recreational or select), your information will pre-populate the form.

At tryouts, just let the check-in table know that you pre-registered and you will recieve a numbered pinney/bib for the evaluation session.

Alternate Tryout:
Alternate Tryout will be on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM (Girls) and from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM (Boys).

Medical Excuse:
In the event a player has an injury and/or medical condition that would prevent them from the tryout assessment process, the following will occur:

-The player is to submit and excuse from the attending physician to be on file regarding the medical condition/injury of the player
-The Select Coordinator would obtain the coach's recommendations concerning the player and place the player accordingly
-For injured U10/U11 candidates, the Select Coordinator's decisions would be based on the players recreational coach's recommendation

Select Tryout General Information

All players are welcome to tryout for an Fond du Lac Phoenix Select team.  Here are some highlights about Fond du Lac Phoenix Select tryouts and programs offered:

  • all age groups will have a one day tryout focusing on small-sided games and  full field scrimmages. We expect this format will showcase all of the player's talents. Evaluators are from the local college and will conduct all tryouts and evaluations.
  • you must attend tryouts to be considered for a Fond du Lac Phoenix select team
  • each session is 90 minutes 
  • the color structure of our teams are Red and then Black. White is used only when there is a third team in an age group

Tryout Day:

  • arrive 25-30 minutes before your session to check in and warm up
  • Wear shin guards, cleats and bring a properly inflated ball and water bottle
  • players will receive a tryout number and matching pinney for the tryout session
  • parents may not be on the tryout fields

Notification:

  • all players will receive notification by email or phone
  • because tryouts take place while regular season is in play, offers will be made no later than July 10th
  • you will have until July 14th at Midnight to accept an offer. After this time, all offers are void

Acceptance:

  • once you accept an offer, you must secure your roster spot by registering online by July 21st.  Instructions will be emailed to players receiving offers.
  • Uniforms will need to be ordered NO LATER than July 26th to be received by the beginning of the season. If you do not place an order by the deadline, the unform will be shipped individually and the cost increases due to shipping charges
