The Fond du Lac Soccer Association (FDLSA) recently elected its 2019-2020 Board of Directors. Newly appointed members include Don Armour, Kali Boardman, and Jess Ruch, each of whom have played soccer since they were young and have coached players at varied levels for many years. Armour served as assistant coach to the Club's U17 girls' Select League team this season, and has previously coached competitive teams in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Boardman is a soccer coach at Fond du Lac High School, and has coached FDLSA Select and Recreational Teams for many years. Ruch is the Varsity girls' soccer head coach at Fond du Lac High School, and has also spent five years as a Select League coach for the Club. Re-elected members include Chad Collett (President), Dan Gerred, Andy Gill (Secretary), Dr. Bryan Henslin, Luke Newman (Vice President), and Justin Szatkowski. This team will join the current board members with one year of service remaining: Josh Rieder, Diane Riley, Jillian Saiberlich, and Bob Van Kirk (Treasurer). In total, FDLSA is led by 13 board members.
All board members will fulfill a two-year term, participate in at least one committee, and support the Club's overall objective of advancing youth development through sports. The FDLSA Board of Directors meets monthly and holds elections annually.
The Fond du Lac Soccer Association (FDLSA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers soccer programs to more than 1,700 players. Founded in 1974, FDLSA now includes approximately 120 recreational, 14 competitive league, and 12 adult league teams, as well as an academy program to develop players transitioning from recreational to select teams.
