Birth Year and Season Matrix

When determining the age group for a season, the year the season ends should be used for determining the birth year. Also note that the format “U followed by age” really means that age and younger.

If going into 8th Grade, your tryout level is U14. If going into High School, then U15-18 range would be your tryout level.

Age Chart by Birth Year and Seasonal Year

Use the chart below to determine your appropriate age group. The Fond du Lac Soccer Association is a member of the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association who follows US Soccer age guidelines for teams. It is based on calendar birth year (not grade level) so teams may consist of players in two different grade levels. Please note the U teams in yellow are our select level age groups.
